Camp Molly www.campmolly.ca Molly Williams, a black slave in New York City, was the first recognized female firefighter on record in North America in 1818. The name, Camp Molly, pays tribute to this incredible trailblazer through providing young women in the community a unique opportunity. Zorra Fire will be hosting a Camp Molly, June 1 - 4, 2023, which will provide a positive and supportive opportunity for young females aged 15 - 18. The camp will allow the chance for these young women to learn a wide range of skills involved in the fire service from fire service professionals across the province volunteering their time as mentors.
