The Trojans finished the regular season in third place with the top four teams all being within one or two losses. Thamesford faced the Lucan Irish in the first round. Lucan proved to be a tough test for the Trojans in the regular season and would be a strong opponent in the playoffs. The Trojans came out and strong in game 1 winning 10-4. The Trojans completed the series sweep the next night in Lucan with another 5-2 win. Thamesford now faced the second place North Middlesex Starts in round two. Last year North Middlesex swept the Trojans in the division final, and this would be another challenging series. Game 1 was a hard-fought battle and Thamesford prevailed 1-0 in Parkhill. Game 2 was played the next night in Thamesford before 340 home fans and the Trojans did not disappoint and hammered the Stars 8-0. Game 3 saw another dominating performance by the Trojans and they came away with a 5-1 road victory. This set the stage for a potential series sweep on home ice on March 29. The Trojans and Stars played a back and forth games with great goaltending at both ends but Thamesford’s veteran team prevailed 3-2 to avenge last year’s Stars sweep.
