Discovering Zorra’s Past Both residents and non-residents wishing to look into Zorra’s rich past are invited to join the Zorra Heritage Committee , which meets at 7:00 pm on the first Wednesday of each month at the Beachville District Museum. The first meeting of 2024 will be in the form of a behind-the-scenes tour of the Museum on January 3, including artifact storage areas. Through projects, field trips and wide- ranging group discussions, members can expand their knowledge of Township lore. The Committee’s formal aims are to: * Uncover resources and stories relating to the Township’s past * Enhance access to, and spark interest in Zorra’s rich heritage * Advocate for the preservation of this heritage In 2023, activities included formal presentations during Oxford History Day and exhibits of Zorra artifacts at the Embro Highland Games and Embro Fair in co- operation with the Museum. The group is part of the Beachville District Historical Society.
