TOWNSHIP COMMUNITY INFORMATION TOWNSHIP COMMUNITY INFORMATION 24 Zorra Now | Spring 2024 Zorra Now | Spring 2024 25 Zorra teens between 13 and 17 are invited by Oxford County to receive $1200 in support toward an international exchange with ISE. While in Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Germany or France for 9 weeks of the school year, you will live and observe ideas which you will be anxious to bring home with you (along with a souvenir or two) and see the awe on the faces of those you talk to about your experience. There are a total of 8 bursaries in the 2024 year. Why not follow the example of the pioneers of Zorra, the first students to participate in this bursary program. ISE carefully matches teens here with partners of the same age and interests, then arranges for them to spend time together in your homes here and their European homes. It’s a life-changing experience, with immediate wonderful times and future gains in careers and life. Students and their families should check www. iseontario.on.ca for more information and to begin an application form. Local ISE representative, Bryan Smith, is available to help and to answer questions at bryasmit@oxford.net too. Summer exchanges are also available. Dublin, Ireland is an added destination for these 3-week reciprocal experiences. Bon voyage! ISE International Student Exchanges Signs of spring are in the air in Oxford County.
