The Township would like to extend a big congratulations and thank you to all past and present committee members. Since 2019, the ZMCC has worked tirelessly to raise funds for the multi-use courts project. Thank you to the Chair, Andrew Goodwin, Deputy Mayor Katie Grigg, and committee members Brenda Carnahan, Julie Riley, Kate Lockhart, Libby Wilkinson and Rebecca Ruddy. Where will the courts be built? The courts will be constructed on parkland that has been donated to the Township by Kingwood Development. The parkland will be off Brock St and the George St extension. This central location offers an exciting opportunity to become part of a vibrant community and recreational hub, complete with ample parking and sports fields at the future adjacent elementary school. When will the courts be constructed? There is important infrastructure and grading that must be completed in this large development before this project can begin construction. The Request for Proposal will be issued in 2026 once this work is complete. How can we keep updated on this project? The Township will keep the public informed on project updates through the Zorra website: https://www.zorra.ca/our-township/committees/ We want to extend a big, heartfelt thank you to our many donors who have made this possible!
