EMBRO DOG PARK COMMITTEE The Dog Park committee selected the location and received Council approval for Matheson Park. The committee formally evaluated two locations, Embro Community Centre and Matheson Park, based on accessibility, park amenities (washrooms and water fountains), community impact and other criteria. Did you know it is common for municipalities to create multi-use park spaces? This approach creates community hubs, where residents of all ages can enjoy a variety of recreation activities in a single, accessible location! The committee has officially reached their fundraising goal - thanks to the community for their generous support. Stay tuned for construction timelines and details! Current efforts are focused on outfield rehabilitation with in-kind help from Levy Trucking and D & M Services. Embro Minor Baseball Association is funding and coordinating installation of the backstop. The new diamond will be ready for play for the 2027 baseball season!
